Spooks and Legends Haunted Tours has been the favorite tour in Colonial Williamsburg since 2010. These unique tours take you to the most haunted sites, including the famous Peyton Randolph House--often called the most haunted place in all of America! This tour is the only one in town to include true, fully researched ghost stories as well as stories of witch trials and witch tests. Hear details of Blackbeard's crew and their demise. We never make up stories. All of our information is fact-based and true. It is the only GHOSTS, WITCHES and PIRATES TOUR in Williamsburg!Come out and meet Our local witch Grace Sherwood and Mr. Pirate and the Infamous Blackbeard who shows up on occasion. Our tour is filled with ghostly stories and Mr. Pirate opens his treasure chest at the end for the children to take some treasures home with them. It is a fun-filled night for every age. What To Expect

Colonial Williamsburg Capitol Building

Experience the many ghosts of this old colonial town that are still seen today. Learn of the hangings of Blackbeard's crew and what happened to Blackbeard's skull. Did our forefathers really drink from his skull? Stand right where Grace Sherwood, the most famous witch, is often seen during mock trials in the Capitol and hear of her fate, finally pardoned by Gov. Tim Kean after centuries of being called the Witch of Pungo. Learn of Anne Bonny and Mary Reed (a woman posing as Mark Reed) who were aboard Calico Jack's ship and fought like men. Top it all off by going to the Jones Graveyard, where Ida Jones still haunts the graves today, in the late-night hours.

The narrator Lesley, old pirate and his wife-witch were story tellers. This tour was a lot of fun with history inserted in fun stories. When the dark set up and Lesley switched on her lantern it was less about pirates and more about ghosts. Colonial Williamsburg does not have now enough workforce, so half of stores were closed, no people in time outfits strolling in the streets, and it became more educational than fun, this tour was very nice diversion.

The tour hosts could not have been more cordial. We had an Englishman explaining the overall theme: witches, pirates and ghosts. Then there was our female witch/ghost who delved more into the witch history of Williamsburg and the other colonies. Very involved and entertaining. Then her husband carried off the part of Blackbeard the pirate and his storytelling was great history punctuated with pirate humor “shiver me timber’s!” Williamsburg was empty except for our tour and the historic buildings lit with gas lamps made a great background for the tour presentations. If participating, plan appropriately for the weather. On our tour the temp was 82 we with high humidity and no breeze. Fluids are the key to survival in that climate. The tour will last at least an hour and a half so plan accordingly.

We had a terrific time on our Ghost walk. The guide, witch and pirate ☠ were very informative and entertaining. I would highly recommend the experience. We even got a picture of a Ghost in a window..no kidding. We were shocked.
