From directions that were emailed, it is hard to determine meeting location to start tour. You are escorted to 3 stores to browse & shop and 3 restaurants to obtain small portions of food. You can shop in the 3 stores on your own time without paying $62 a person. The tour guide was quiet and not very informative.

This was our fifth food tour this vacation so we had come to expect a great mix of local history and cuisine. This had very little of either. We started off bad when the email confirmation with the meeting site containing the wrong address. When we tried contacting the company we had to leave a message. We called back and talked to someone who seemed very disinterested. Our stops included a chocolate shop and cheese shop where we were told to look around on our own (no background or tastings). The spice and tea shop was not doing tea tastings that day. Shouldn't that be arranged for a tour? We tasted on our own at the peanut shop. We also went to a Philly shop? What does that have to do with Williamsbury? We were told about the College Sandwich shop that Jon Stewart stated was his favorite spot while a student at William and Mary. Wouldn't that be a better local spot? The mac and cheese at the Blue Talon saved this tour. Our tour guide was very sweet but offered little entertainment to our small group of two. This was a waste of money. We could have done this on our own.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable afternoon with guide Michael. We learned some history of Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary, had a leisurely walk through some beautiful areas in town, and enjoyed some very good food and conversation. Michael made every effort for us to have a good time.
