Amazing food tour! We've been on a TON of food tours and culinary tours around the country. This one was the best and very very delicious!! It was just a taste of some of the most popular local places but we were full at the end and the guide, Definitely recommended! If you want a good taste of the town with great food and a great guide, then you have to try this while you're here!! Loved it! This tour was great! Our guide was really cool, he was able to show us different places. The food we ate was the best portions but we ended up making reservations at a few of the places we sampled food at. It was absolutely delicious! By the end of the tour we were full and opted for a late snack. We got to hear about the history and how the restaurants came to this town. 100% would recommend this tour.

We have done 11 previous food tours in other cities and this was by far the worst. I should have known to lower my expectations when I tried to call them due to a lack of confirmation email. Their answering machine gave info on meeting place, but when you tried to go to the main menu, it disconnected. As for the tour itself, other tours have prepared the sites ahead of time and call ahead to let them know we were coming and and approximate time. Most of these sites seemed surprised to see us. Of the 8 sites, only in 3 did we actually get food, and in two of those we had to share portions. (Is that really a good idea during Covid?) Where our guide planned to go for our last stop was closed (unbeknownst to her) so our group of 7 split 2 hamburgers and 2 orders of fries. We did receive a spice sample at the Tea and Spice Exchange and a goodie bag from Wythe Candy shop, but that was it. For the price paid, and in relation to other tours, I really expected more.

We have done several food walks during our travels. In one word, this one was "underwhelming". When we signed up, it was advertised as stopping at 10 restaurants and lunch would be included. We could have done this tour ourselves. The only thing that saved the experience was our tour guide, Cyndi. She was very knowledgeable about the locations we did stop at. We started at a spice/tea store, then to a peanut shop, then around the corner to try some mac & cheese. There were 8 or us for 4 orders of mac & cheese, off to a coffee and candy store and then ended at a restaurant where we split two burgers and fries amongst 8 of us. That is 6 locations, not 10 and our lunch ended up being a 1/4 of a burger, fries and half an order of mac & cheese. It also said it would be a 3 hour experience and we were done in 2. For $75 a person, I would not recommend doing this walk when you can easily do this yourself.
