This is a Must Do on any visit to Williamsburg providing exposure to new restuarants and plenty to eat!! John was a great tour guide, very knowledgable about the restuarant scene (ate later that week at one of his recommendations and food was superb!) I learned more about W & M than I have in books! If you are a foodie - these tours are a must.

We had a good time on the tour, despite the weather. Our complaint was the lack of food. After reading the website you would expect a decent meal. Literally had one small spare rib, shared an appetizer order of mac and cheese with two other people, a handful of nuts (samples to be had by anyone visiting the store), a MINI ham sandwich (maybe a quarter of a hot dog bun in size), and finally 5 ounces of yogurt. We were truly disappointed. For the money our family of three could have had two "real meals" with leftovers, to boot. Do not be swayed by the pictures presented on the website, make sure you are in it for the experience - not the food.

My wife and I booked the William and Mary food tour and we both enjoyed it very much. Our guide, John, was nothing short of fantastic. He was personable and engaging with everyone on the tour as well as the merchants. He seems to be the kind of person who has never met a stranger. If you can't be friends with John then you might need to look inside yourself because the problem will be there. Great fun. The tour itself is fun and a great way to get acquainted with the shops and restaurants at the Merchants Square. The food we sampled was outstanding. The peanut and candy stores were great fun. The ribs and baked beans at the Seasons was delicious and the Mac n Cheese at the Blue Talon was out of this world good! This tour is worth your time to go, so GO!! Two thumbs up! GREAT JOB JOHN!
