Snowshoeing in Alaska is a unique and fun experience. In our winters, the forests are inaccessible, sometimes buried in waist deep snow. But in snowshoes, we can adventure where no one else has been! On this tour, we will adventure a short ways in to Goldstream valley. You will learn how to identify animal tracks left on the fresh snow, as well as flocks of winter song birds. Our trail begins and ends in a low lying frozen bog surrounded by snow covered mossy tundra, and winds through black spruce forest, with optional trailbreaking through untouched snow towards whatever may catch your interest. At the end, we will have hot chocolate and snacks available to warm up.
