What To Expect
1
The Witch House at Salem
Welcome to Salem’s Witch House. Purchased in 1675 by Judge Jonathan Corwin, the Witch House is the only surviving structure with direct ties to Salem’s Witch Trials. It’s architecturally extraordinary and historically essential. Here you will learn all about Corwin, and the innocents he had executed.
2
Old Burying Point Cemetery
The Burying Point Cemetery, established in 1637, is one of the most prominent burial sites in Salem. Because of its age, every gravesite at the Burying Point unquestionably holds historical importance. One of the most important belongs to John Hathorne. You'll get to learn even more about the lives behind the spirits haunting these graves.
3
Peabody Essex Museum
We stand before the Peabody Essex Museum. Within these walls, you will find many of the original documents of the Salem Witch Trials. For the historians in tonight’s audience, this is a must-see stop. This is also where we would like to give you a few bits of information about the trials you may not find otherwise. This will be for ā€œfrequently asked questions,ā€ so to speak.

Very disappointed in the tour. We ended up leaving it. It was the same as we did earlier in the day just backwards. The girl that lead it kept talking about her associate degree in theater.(That’s great she has gotten a degree) but, Big deal ā€œI have a masters in education.ā€ We could not go up close to any of the buildings or go inside of them as they were on private property. Did not touch on very much of the witch trails. We were not the only ones that left the tour. There was a couple of ladies that left the same time we did as they were disappointed as well. We got very little pictures for the time we were there due to that we did not get up close to a lot of the buildings. My husband and I would have done better just taking a tour by ourselves and booking the walk through of the buildings and paying the extra money. Thought, we would at least get up close.

I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your tour. We are not allowed to enter the buildings that are on our tours because as you stated it is private property, or state-owned. Moving forward we will take your feedback into consideration.

Getting to know the history behind Salem and what they did to torture people in those days. The tickets were worth purchasing the wait time was reasonable.

Our guide was magnificent. Entertaining and informative. She was really top notch. She was enthusiastic and encouraged and answered all questions. Even silly questions from my 6 year old daughter who wanted to be up front near our guide the whole time.
