White Wolf Sanctuary is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization that was was founded in 1999. Our mission is to preserve and protect wolves, promote the recovery of wolf populations where appropriate and encourage conservation through education of all wildlife and the role it plays in the natural world.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
The weather does vary. We recommend dressing for cool, possibly wet weather. Please wear long pants and close-toed shoes. Our road is not suitable for low profile vehicles such as sports cars. Pets are not allowed on the sanctuary grounds.

Very educational. Our guide Nicola has a real passion for wolves in general and for the individual wolves in the sanctuary. We enjoyed every minute. Despite the description on the site, you don't really know what a tour like this is going to be like. We were pleasantly surprised.

I was so impressed by this tour and the preserve they have made here for the wolves. I took my wolf obsessed 9 yo and she loved the whole thing. The first portion of the tour is around education about wolves and how they help keep a more equalized ecosystem. The goal of this sanctuary is preservation of wolves in their wild habitat, this is best done through education and correcting myths around the species. We got to see each wolf and learn about its story. My kiddo said this was her favorite thing all summer (I took her to a broadway play in NYC). We would recommend this tour.

I did the tour with my friends’ two teenagers this week. Nichola met us as instructed and led us to the sanctuary. It was so magical seeing the white wolves peering at us as we approached. Nichola was so welcoming, and gave an excellent introductory talk on the wolves as well as other wildlife. She highlighted the vital role wolves play in maintaining healthy biosphere. We then visited each of the wolves, and Nichola talked about their unique histories and personalities. It was amazing seeing these magnificent animals up close in a natural habitat rather than in a small zoo enclosure. We all loved the tour - definitely recommended!
