  • Service animals allowed
  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Between November and March, when the trail is not safe due to snow and ice accumulation, we substitute the hike with additional time in Yosemite Valley.
  • The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.
  • As tour sizes vary, transportation is in a 15-passenger van or up to a 40-passenger tour bus
  • Tour makes stops at approximately 8:30am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included
  • For hotel pickups, please select the Hilton Union Square if your hotel is not listed

Funnily enough, when the trip ended, Gino (our tour guide) asked that we not write our reviews based on the bus experience, but on the Yosemite trip itself. But what sense does that make? Yosemite's beauty and stunning natural wonder has nothing to do with the actions of this tour company. It's the tour company's job to make the bus experience a wonderful one -- as that is the only thing that they have responsibility and control over. And that's what I will comment on. The bus ride coming back from Yosemite was dangerously hot. It is the bus company's responsibility to ensure that they get a proper, COOL bus that can sustain 100-degree temperatures. Unfortunately, for FOUR hours, we had no choice but to sit inside a steaming hot bus as we left Yosemite for San Francisco. It was SO hot, many of us experienced nasal congestion. Personally, I was damn-near close to fainting. And this is coming from someone who typically prefers to be warm! On top of that, with people sneezing, coughing in such a crammed bus, it was unsanitary. This tour company needs to stop cheaping out and get a proper bus with an good AC. With damn-near 41 people on the bus (do the math in regards to the cost of this trip), I doubt that this company is starving for pennies. I also wished that the tour guide provided more information on how to navigate the paths. For example, when we checked out the Giant Sequoias, we stumbled upon a fork in the road and had no idea where to go for the best sights. Same for Yosemite Falls. There was a fork in the road with one signage saying "Upper Yosemite Falls" and the other to "Lower Yosemite Falls." It would be great if the tour guide explained how both path differs so we can make informed decisions on which way to go. Gino's stories were a little difficult to follow at times. I just ended up tuning him out. Finally, I can't stress how tacky it was for Gino to insinuate that guests are obligated to pay a tip that is 20% of the entire bill. No, you tip as a courtesy for good service, which I don't believe was given.
