Access to the Sequoia Grove can be difficult during winter months, generally October through April, and other activities may be substituted at the discretion of the guide
During winter months, temperatures in Yosemite can vary drastically to the ones in San Francisco. Therefore, it is recommend to wear winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads
California law requires tour guests to bring a car safety seat for all children under 8 years and under 4' 9" (1.4 meters) in height. Any guest that does not provide their child's safety seat at the time of the tour and does not inform the tour operator may not be allowed to board the tour and will not be subject to refund.
As tour sizes vary, transportation is in a 13-passenger van or up to a 41-passenger tour bus
Tour makes stops at approximately 8:30am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included

The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.

Yesterday I did the Yosemite 1 day tour with my boyfriend, this is the 4th tour I have done with Extranomical including doing the same tour last year. I booked with Extranomincal again as my previous experience with them had been fantastic however after yesterday we were both left disappointed. The first half of the tour was great and both my boyfriend and I were in awe of Yosemite. Unfortunately, the epic grandeur and peace of the day was spoilt when our guide Aoka miscounted the number of guests on the bus and we spent 30 minutes waiting for the guest to be found only for him to already be on the bus! The frustration of the guide was obvious with her mood reflected in how she highlighted that she read his name "5 times" and asked everyone to "take a deep breath". Had she not miscounted and/or learned to pronounce foreign guest names correctly, the error may not have occurred. What should have been the last of it, unfortunately, wasn't. At a subsequent stop, she told another Extranomincal guide that she "needed a hug" and then got off the bus to obviously talk about what had occurred and was seen talking to a couple of American guests about what had happened also. On the whole what was a problem was made bigger by her reaction and it left us both feeling disappointed by what was meant to be a great day. The guide mentioned that she was "sassy" but both this and other problems throughout the day with airconditioning and late returners created a tension in the experience that we could have done without. We were glad to get off the bus and only left a tip due to the length of the day, not a job well done. I will think twice again before booking with Extranomincal the next time I'm in town.

My friend and I visited Yosemite National Park in July 2017. We booked our trip from home before we travelled to the United States. The driver picked us up from our hotel a few minutes too late but everyone knows that traffic in SF can be quite a mess sometimes. He was very friendly and good for many laughs. The people who joined the bus as well were from all over the world. We were accompanied by people from Sweden, Italy, Germany and US citizens. We had a lot of fun and the time flew by. We had a little stop at a local supermarket and then continued our trip to the YNP. I really suggest to buy st to eat btw because the only restaurant available at the national park is overcrowded and reminded me of a huge McDonald's. We could harly believe our eyes when the beauty of Yosemite appeared in front of us. It was unbelievably astonishing. Our guide showed us the most beautiful places. We enjoyed our delicious sandwiches while gazing at the huge waterfalls with our feet hanging into the ice cold water. We walked a lot and saw many different sights. When we drove home we also stopped. We had good food at a Mexican restaurant. All in all a very nice experience.
