The Yosemite Valley Hiking Tour is a tour of Yosemite Valley, highlighting major points of interest and visiting popular locations you might see in social media. In addition to providing you with natural and geological history, this tour can point out some of the lesser known ‘gems’ around Yosemite Valley. This is a tour by foot; hiking and walking among the iconic and popular features within the valley. We will use the free valley shuttle as required but plan to hike/walk with your guide while avoiding the valley vehicular traffic.

Our guide Matt was super informative and took us to the best spots. We definitely made the most of our time by having a guide. Be wary though, the shuttle service in the valley are undergoing changes and have become less frequent. There is no set itinerary of where you go but it is based on what your group wants to visit, which made it even better. Talk to your guide ahead of time (probably even email them beforehand) about any specific places you really want to visit in the valley so they can plan around the weird shuttle service. Also, be advised that this is mostly walking tour, and it can be challenging for young children, those trouble with walking long distances etc. Be honest about your abilities because it can ruin the tour for rest of the group. Overall I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My son Patrick gifted me with a trip to Yosemite as a Christmas gift last year. Since neither of us had ever been there before we decided to book a tour. Lasting Adventures was great! Our tour guide was Riley and he was super friendly and helpful. His knowledge of all things Yosemite was surprising and his enthusiasm (especially for rock climbing) was infectious. Our visit to Yosemite was a dream come true. But it was made even more so because of Lasting Adventures and our tour guide Riley. I totally recommend Lasting Adventures!

Our family had a fantastic all day tour of the valley with Chris this April. Chris has a wealth of experience backpacking and hiking in Yosemite and it showed. He was full of historic tales and also brought out the naturalist in us, showing how to differentiate between a Ponderosa pine and a Sequoia, and more. He was very patient with us [flat-landers] and interacted with our 9 and 11 year-old splendidly. Our son is still telling the story of the Glacier Point chickens to all his friends. We highly recommend the tour. The only criticism we have is to have the meeting time accurate in communications. The emails stated the meeting time was 8 AM and then at the end of the email, in smaller font, it stated tours through April meet at 9:30 AM. This is easily remedied, but it did cause a little confusion. Again, we highly recommend Chris and Lasting Adventures! We look forward to using them for longer trips when we have teenagers!
