Overview

Take a stunning trip into the Yukon Territory in comfort and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Look for wildlife and stop at scenic viewpoints on your way to Iditarod racer, Michelle Phillips' Mushers Camp. Once arrived at the destination, you will have plenty of time to hang out with some adorable Alaskan Husky puppies, explore the grounds and go for an exciting dogsled ride through the Yukon wilderness. Not wheelchair accessible (Collapsible wheelchairs may be able to be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark and the tour operators have been given adequate notification) The tour is collapsible wheelchair accessible however, be prepared for uneven, natural surfaces at the sites visited which may be difficult for those with walking disabilities or for those using a collapsible wheelchair.

This was a fabulous tour. Bus ride went up into the Yukon, past where the train takes people. The scenery was gorgeous. Mikey was very knowledgeable about the area and made it a lot of fun. The dog sledding was great as well. Loved playing with the puppies and really enjoyed the talk about preparing and going on the Iditarod and Yukon races. Highly recommend this tour.

I am so glad I booked this for my husband, our children ages 9 and 10, and me. Beautiful views on the comfortable drive with an engaging tour guide who definitely gives you a different glimpse into the life of a seasonal worker in Skagway. The musher's camp was amazing. Meeting Michelle and her team, learning about the racing experience, getting to experience a cart ride pulled by the dogs, and, of course, snuggling puppies. We got to make several photo stops on the way back to town where I got some of my favorite vacation pics. I heard this was very different than the more commercial experience if you book through your cruise line. I'm very happy we did it this way.

This was a nice excursion because it allowed a little sight seeing in addition to the visit to the dog sledding place. The only thing that would have improved the trip would have been a more formal presentation to the group by a musher. Although our guide was great, overall, the visit lacked structure, which made it seem a little less professional than other similar options.
