My husband talked me into signing up for this zipline. We are not thrill-seekers and have never done anything like it before, but I'm glad we gave it a try. The ziplines start low and slow for beginners like us, then gradually get higher, longer, and faster. By the third or fourth line I wasn't afraid of the speed or the heights at all, because the hardware is very secure and the guides take every precaution to make sure no one gets hurt in an accident. For example, nobody ever steps out of the gated platforms without being clipped to a safety rope first, and that rope doesn't come off until you're secured to the zipline.
The guides teach a new skill at each zip: how to control your speed by balling up or spreading out, how to hold the bar with one hand and turn around, how to flip upside down and get yourself back up. They present other "challenges" between zips, too, like rappelling down from a short height and climbing up your rope to a platform.
The views from the ziplines were amazing. I only wish we could have zipped slower to appreciate them for longer, but most people are probably there for the adrenaline rush and enjoy the high speeds.
