On this 2.5 hour African American History tour, we will be your "conductor" and take you on a journey through Memphis that will be sure to open your eyes to some of the most historical sites connected to slavery through to the Civil Rights Movement and beyond. There is so much more to Memphis than Downtown to experience, so we will also explore some of our interesting neighborhoods.

This tour is for residents, families, and visitors who are looking for the activities to do that are safe, fun and insightful.

This is a terrific tour, two hours that takes so much of the rich history of African American population of Memphis. Queen is a great tour guide, who takes an optimistic approach to life, and works hard to illuminate the past. This history is often tragic, but at other times uplifting (e.g. the Underground Railroad site). Queen is also lots of fun. She knows the city. We loved this tour, and we loved Memphis.

Queen is a phenomenal tour guide! She's very knowledgeable, entertaining and engaging with guests. As a native Memphian, it was wonderful to see new things and learn the history of my very own hometown. During the tour, we happened upon the newly opened Memphis Rox owner and received a tour of this amazing renovated space. It was such an unexpected treat! I highly recommend this tour to visitors as well as Memphis residents. You'll have a great experience and leave better than you arrived.
