Our tour was at sunrise. Our tour guide was Herbert Tsosie , he was great.. He knew the area an explain all about the valley. It was a two an half hour tour and he used all the time. He was funny also. But he knew all about his history of the Navajos. When we stop to look around he took pictures of us with our camera.n

You really have to get into Monument Valley to appreciate it! Beautiful sandstone monuments and Navajo guides to accentuate the cultural experience.

We missed our 5 pm tour due to vehicle issues. Tinhorn were very helpful and set us up with an 8:00 am tour the next morning. The timing was perfect and great for photographs with the sun rising and moon setting. Our guide, Herbert, was great: a very careful driver and he provided so much information about the culture and history of the area. He had specific stops he wanted to show us but also stopped for us when there was a particular viewpoint we wanted to make the most of. I am very glad we went for the 2.5 hour tour rather than the shorter. There are so many spectacular views that the longer tour was well worth it.
