This photo class, and tour, is a unique experience in and around Santa Fe. Professional photographer David has been a Santa Fe resident for more than 30 years. Bring your digital camera, smartphone, or both. This photo class/tour is a great place to start here in Santa Fe. You will learn composition, portraiture, landscape photography, lowlight, camera functions, and lots more. This 2- hour photo-class/tour will be a fun and insightful photographic learning experience for you while getting to know Santa Fe. Photo editing with Snapseed will be part of the instructions.
David knows all the best places to photograph in and around Santa Fe as well as being able to help travelers with questions regarding local restaurants, cultural activities, hiking, etc.

My granddaughter and I took a class with David and really enjoyed it! She is only 10, and David was able to teach her basic photographic techniques that she is continuing to use and grow with. She loves it! Now, she is wanting a camera for her birthday. David is a great teacher and brings a lot of joy and love for photography. I highly recommend his class

David Hoptman was a fantastic instructor and made the class a terrific experience. Not only was it a fun two hours but the concepts and pro tips that he taught us will yield benefits for years to come! This kind of instruction from a professional artist and university professor is not something that you'll find elsewhere. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous way to start off our vacay in Santa Fe. David is great teacher and was super patient with myself and my mother who had a bit of anxiety because her iPhone is kind of old. I really appreciated the knowledge and guidance he provided and definitely felt more confident when it came to taking photos of Santa Fe. ( I kept going back to one spot trying to nail down my "vigas" pictures - hahaha IYKYK) I also really appreciate the editing app David introduced us to and after playing around with it feel like my pics are so much richer and beautiful. Thank you for such unique way to see Santa Fe.
