If this is your first time kayaking or if you prefer calm short trips then maybe this is for you. This experience takes no where near four hours unless you sit and drink at the winery for three hours or you stop and get out your kayak to swim for a long time. We finished the very smooth kayak ride down the Verde River in an hour. This is not actually a guided trip, you’ll park at the winery and get dropped off at the start point, and the “guide” who is really just a driver, points out a couple spots where you have to take a fork, he doesn’t actually go on the ride with you and he wasn’t there to greet us when we finished our trip. So the kayaking portion of this only gets two stars in my opinion.
The winery was great! You get $20 in credits so make the most of your money and skip the tasting and just use it to buy food and a bottle of wine, you’ll get a lot more out of it! Highly recommend the cheese board and the bread platter. I even got a bottle of moscato to go because it was so good. Weather permitting definitely sit outside in the beautiful back grass area, there’s a bar outside too!
