This was our first time in Bar Harbor, and we wanted to make sure we experienced the key highlights and saw some hidden gems we would have otherwise missed. This tour delivered both. The minivan we rode in was immaculately clean and comfortable. Our guide, Nathan, arrived at our Airbnb promptly, on time. My wife gets carsick easily, and after telling Nathan about that, he drove the windy roads of Acadia at the right speed so she had zero discomfort, something I am rarely able to do! His knowledge of the island was fantastic, and he was able to answer most of our questions. I enjoyed being able to enjoy the sights and not worry about driving. That would have been impossible on my own. Some of the hidden gems we saw: beaver lodges, the coolest carriage trail bridges (we got out at each one, which was great, and we never would have seen the last one, by far the best, on our own), and Asticou Azalea Garden (a less visited but amazing place). Most notable is that we had heavy fog most of the afternoon which obscured many mountaintop and water views. Nathan could have easily said, “If the fog wasn’t so bad you would be able to see…” over and over, but instead, he embraced the situation and helped us focus on what we could see. Amazing! The four hours flew by. I am glad we chose the 4-hour tour over the 3-hour tour. We’ll worth it and highly recommended!

Nathan was very knowledgeable and allowed us to take our time at all the places we visited. He also took us to a few of his favorite areas and went over our tour time so that we could fully take in the beauty of Acadia National Park which we greatly appreciated.
