Our guide was Jim Quinn. We started the tour at St. Paul's Chapel.
Jim gave a first hand experience of visiting this church as a child on school trips. It was a very interesting story. Unfortunately, the Chapel was closed for a private event, but I will go back another time to see the inside. Jim was very knowledgeable and energetic in his presentation throughout the tour. He gave his personal viewpoint of his experience on September 11. He was extremely detailed about the timeline of that day, telling many stories that I had not heard before and recalling some that I had heard. We learned a lot of new information on the tour. Jim was extremely respectful when talking about the many who perished, even stopping for a moment of silence at one point near the reflection pools. He was very kind and passionate about the stories he was retelling and the significance of this day in American History. I would highly recommend the tour. I brought my Daughter who is a 4th grader. We did not go to the Museum portion. She did just fine with walking, listening and learning, but I would not recommend bringing smaller children if they are highly sensitive, or disruptive at all. They need to be old enough, quiet and respectful for this type of tour and information. Ground zero is technically a grave site. Highly suggest the Observatory (Freedom Tower) after the tour.
