Strawberry Fields is a memorial to the British rock musician and peace activist John Lennon (1940–1980). The memorial consists of a five-acre landscape near the West 72nd Street entrance and includes the Imagine mosaic, where many come to pay tribute to Lennon. The memorial’s name is a reference to the 1967 song Lennon wrote and performed with the Beatles, “Strawberry Fields Forever.

Large bronze statue of Alice, the Mad Hatter & the White Rabbit from Lewis Carroll's classic book. Alice in Wonderland stands eleven feet tall in bronze, surrounded by the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and a few of her other friends. The sculpture was constructed in 1959 by José de Creeft under the commission of philanthropist George Delacorte so that children could visit and experience the wonder of Lewis Carroll’s classic. Brilliant few hrs and the guide was so friendly and knew all the best spots! It's totally a must on a visit and we saw so much - just like the movies! They did not rush us at all either so was really nice to stop at key places and take it all in
