Captain Drew and the naturalists Brooke and Dawn were the crew that took us out on the cruise, they were incredibly knowledgable and we learned a lot from their experience. We saw the resident Southern Pod of fish eating Orca and another pod of Orca which were hunting at the time, which was very exciting. We also spotted two humoback whales. The whole experience was far better than i could've expected and i would go again in a heart beat.

Alllll the whales! This was a great excursion. We saw a Humpback whale, transient Bigg’s killer whales, a resident orca pod, sea lions, and cormorants. We had an amazing, knowledgeable crew including the captain, Drew, and naturalists Brooke & Dawn. Definitely recommend and will go again!

This is now my second time doing the Whale-Watching excursion in Anacortes and I am definitely pleased! Both times I have gone have been great and I look forward to going back in the warmer months of the year. The first time I went we had two rare occurrences happen. We saw two humpback(I believe humpback) whales swimming together which one of the tour guides mentioned is rare. Later that day we saw about 3-4 Orca pods attempting to feed in the same area which we were also told it is rare to have that many pods at one time in an area. The second time was fantastic as well. We were offered to try some of the seaweed that was harvested by one of the tour guides(I did not try). The first time we did not get too close to the sea lions but the second time we were really close which made for great photos and video. All in all, whale-watching is great because it is never the same and you never know what will happen during each encounter. I highly recommend doing the Whale-Watching with BlackFish Tours by Outer Island Expeditions. This is something that all ages can enjoy and have fun with!
