The team of Captain Drew, Naturalists Beth and Aubrey made this trip a day to remember. We saw lots of orcas, Stellar Sea Lions, Harbor Seals, one eagle soaring above some tall trees on an island even though this is considered the end of the season. We also enjoyed the expert commentary on the animals and the priority they gave to protecting the orcas. Captain Drew frequently alerted private boaters to slow down and be aware of the pod. I appreciated the 10 minute rotations to upper deck so everyone had a chance to view from above.

The tour was definitely worth it! I'm from Chicago and it was a bit chilly so be sure to bundle up and take gloves if you can. We got to see some whales and sea lions. The crew did a real good job to make sure they kept up with the whales so we can see them. At one point, we ended up right in the middle of the pod and we got surrounded by the whales.

Being on the boat itself was a wonderful experience. Captain Drew and the girls Aubrey and Beth were so approachable and attentive, I really enjoyed how they rotated the groups every 10 minutes so everyone gets a good view. We learned so much about everything we saw and the waters we were in. The views around Anacortes are gorgeous, the hills and mountains. We had a clear beautiful view of mount Baker. AND !!!! They brought us to PODS OF ORCAS!!! Which were AMAZING! And I appreciated how careful they were to keep these beautiful creatures safe. To see these beautiful animals in their natural habitat was a DREAM COME TRUE. Thank you Anacortes whale watching!!
