Anchorage Aurora Quest - Visite photo des aurores boréales

Aperçu
This is the longest-running northern lights photo tour in the Anchorage area. We pick you up at your Anchorage accommodations and take you on a nocturnal adventure to witness the beauty of the Alaskan night sky. It's a great option for any travelers to Alaska during August to late April. This tour accommodates serious photographers to sightseers.

We conduct a daily update that includes both the aurora borealis and weather forecast. The tour runs based on that forecast, but runs only if the forecast indicates a chance of seeing the aurora. Because both weather and the aurora borealis are natural phenomena, we cannot guarantee seeing the northern lights.

This tour increases your chance of aurora viewing success by allowing you to reserve as many nights as you like [space available] and only finalizing payment 48 hours in advance under the Reserve Now & Pay Later system. If you do not see the northern lights during your tour, you get a free make-up tour.

Impressed. The tour cancelled of tour for the previous night as conditions weren't favorable for viewing (I sure some companies run regardless and get your money). This group cancelled and we were able to reschedule for a "favorable" night. We were picked up at 10pm and off in search of aurora's. While driving our guide "Chad" knew everyone about auroras and taught us the fundamentals about them learning what and how they are caused. Magnetic energy at the poles and the charger protons emitted by the sun. We got, many, many pictures of auroras. Our guides taught us the best camera setting and adjustments needed. This was awesome. Would definitely do this tour again. Thanks Ben and Chad. -steve

Alaska photo treks and our guides Terry and Chad were fabulous, professional, friendly and very helpful! We had bad weather the night we were scheduled so the trip was cancelled. They went out of their way to get a second van for the following night and we a spectacular experience. They were so helpful with assisting us if we needed some help and accommodating throughout the entire night. Their complimentary parkas worked very well and they had tripods available even though I had brought my own. We visited three different locations to get the best possible viewing and we would up with an hour of an amazing show! I highly recommend buying their inexpensive digital book on "how to photograph the Northern lights". I am a pretty good photographer but the tips they provided so that I could prepare properly in advance were very valuable. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is serious about having a great Northern Lights experience. The pictures below were taken with a Canon 7D Mark II with a 24-70 2.8 zoom lens. 13 to 20 second exposure and ISO 1600-2000.

It’s been a bucket list item to see the Aurora Borealis and did this tour deliver (with a little luck from the weather). Our tour guide, Colin did a great job explaining and finding the best locations. Our other guide Ben did a great job taking professional pictures of our group with the Northern Lights in the background. The warm van and hot chocolate were fantastic during those moments when we needed to warm up! Great tour and highly recommend for your bucket list!
