We took the deluxe Anchorage City Trolley Tour last week & highly recommend it! Our guides (Donna & Dave) shared their love & knowledge of the area! ❤️ It was like a fun history, geography & nature class rolled into a delightful 2+ hour tour that left us wanting more. They gave us so many nuggets of information that brought the area & people of Alaska alive & vibrant. From the salmon fishing contests, to Captain Cook & his search for a northwest passageway, to Earthquake Park where you find “roller coaster-like” ground caused by the devastating 9.2 earthquake that hit on Good Friday 1964. A simple request by parents to move the high school basketball game from that fateful Good Friday to Saturday gave way to a miracle - saving many who would have been caught in the building on Good Friday at the time of the earthquake. Continuing the tour to an area of tundra - what it is, how it’s formed, scrub pine that have very shallow roots, but have roots can extent 75’ out. Then we find ourselves at an airfield where small planes come & go, on grass or water, on snow & ice. Did you know 50% of all small engine planes in America can be found in Alaska? & you can get your pilot’s license before your driver’s license!?! As stated earlier, the deluxe trolley tour is a must for visitors. We throughly enjoyed our time with our hosts - Donna & Dave! Why they even provide bug spray at Earthquake Park! Moose sighting, ulu factory, airport. Alice the tour guide was great!!!! Enjoyable way to see the city

Never having been to Alaska before, we took the tour to get a familiarity with Anchorage and we are so glad we did! We heard some interesting stories in history, but the best part of the whole trip was our guide Isaac. He was fun he was articulate and he was animated—it all came alive. He was fun and very informative without being corny or sounding rehearsed. It was an extremely enjoyable 90 minutes. We highly recommend this tour if you’re new to Anchorage. Ask for Isaac.
