We booked both the Antelope Canyon with Horseshoe Bend and the small Grand Canyon group tour. They were both incredible and I highly recommended.

Marsha was our guide again and very patient with us due to our longer than anticipated rest stop. Marsha was explaining everything notalbe as we drove by.I was not feeling well so super glad somebody else was driving, and It allowed me to also look closely at the mountains as we drove by. Our Ford Transit like vehicle was not crowded. About 8 people in the group. Again, what's great about these tours is you can be back at your hotel by 5:30pm or so but you pay the price if you want to linger. Horseshoe canyon was great. Be warned though there is a quarter mile walk on an uphill to get there. I wasn't prepared for that but God help those that aren't wearing shoes or used to walking long distances, especially under the sun. Horseshoe bend is nice. I didn't get close to the edge where there are no rails. They're going to put rails up I hear, but somebody already fell off the edge. My son and I had a blast climbing up a very small mountain. We wanted to do more of that and look around some more, but the van is on a schedule so we had to cut it short. Other people were already in the van and ready to go. Lower Antelope Canyon we could not get tickets for so this tour helped us get tickets. There was a line but it kept moving. Maybe it took 20 minutes for us to get into the actual canyon. Rock was our guide, and was great, pointing out how to make most of the picture moments. We moved right through the canyon. Frankly it looks great looking at pictures, but it's not as awe inspiring first hand. We stopped at a very well stocked Indian gift shop on the way back. The ladies seemed to enjoy that as much as anything else so who's to say it should not be part of the tour.

The overall tour was very nice. John, our tour guide was absolutely amazing. He is full of knowledge and carried a conversation for the duration of the tour. John deserves 5 stars as a tour guide! My only two suggestions for making this tour better are as follows: 1. We did not get enough time at horseshoe bend. In order to keep within the time constraints, we only had 1 hour at horseshoe bend. This is problematic due to the fact it’s about a 10 to 15 minute hike to the bend and it is extremely crowded. Horseshoe bend felt a little rushed. One could stare at this place for much longer. Plus, since it is crowded, you need to wait to get decent pictures that aren’t filled with random people. 2. The tour could be a little less in price overall. Other than those two things, the tour was amazing. My fiancé and I are very glad we did it. It was nice to kick back and let someone else take over while we relax and enjoy the Arizona scenery.
