We were picked up at our hotel by Blaine, who was our tour guide/driver for the day. We soon found that the 4x4 tour was more exciting than anticipated. After a back way entrance to Arches, we traveled over rough terrain and saw things that most others visiting Arches will never see. Blaine prepared a nice lunch, then we were into Canyonlands, again from the back door. He drove the White Rim Trail and Shafer Trail, and told us to "trust in Blaine", which we most assuredly did! We are an older couple, the other couple with us quite a bit younger, but Blaine was able to accommodate both of us, since we were in need of a little more guidance on some hiking trails. We saw more than we ever expected; it was quite an experience for a 60ish couple from the Midwest! Very much recommend!

We all had a wonderful time on this tour and were able see and learn things that we otherwise would not have, had we explored the parks on our own. Our family of 6 (kids ages 9, 11,12,14) was split into 2 vehicles so we benefitted from the expertise of both Mike and Matt who were both excellent guides; friendly, attentive, informative, gracious and considerate. Being able to see things from and return to an airconditioned vehicle allowed for a long, hot day to be enjoyable. This is an off-road 4x4 adventure so be prepared to be bounced and jossled a bit.

We did a half-day 4x4 tour of Canyonlands, which included going up the Shafer Trail - it was awesome! Our guide was the best- so informative and entertaining. The views were awe inspiring. Then we did the half-day 4x tour of Arches - a breath-taking tour! Again, our guide was informative and friendly. He took us on a hike in Slot Canyon, we hiked to a couple of the Arches....we had two couples on the tour and he was quite accommodating when some wanted to hike and others stayed behind. I HIGHLY recommend using Navtek for your tours!!! Two thumbs up!!
