On Friday February 16, 2018 we had a wonderful evening enjoying three music venues with Steve. He was friendly, well-informed and made the night very enjoyable. We would recommend this excursion to anyone wanting to get a taste of the music scene in Austin safely in a small group.

This is a great tour to get a taste of the live music scene. Steven picked three great, classic venues. The artists were great too, they know the line up and local artists so it’s a way to guarantee good music in one night. Three great bands at three great venues in three hours, worth every dime, thanks.

We are first time visitors to Austin. We travel often and love to do tours with small groups to get a feel for what we might want to do our own. Being a music city and us enjoying music this tour seemed like a marriage made in Heaven. Our guide Kurt was fantastic. We went to 3 bars located throughout Austin. So while he drove he gave us info about the area we were in so it wasn’t just a music tour. We visited C-Boys Heart & Soul, The White Horse and The Skylark Lounge. The first 2 played country which I don’t like at all. I can tolerate the country that crosses over to pop but that’s it. I’m not a twang lover. When we stopped at The Skylark Ms Mack & The Daddies we’re playing and it was outstanding. I love Motown sound and rock so this stop made me very happy. FYI the bars themselves I would consider dives with very little seating. I would not do this tour again but I would like to suggest AD consider doing tours to the same music genres, like a country music bar tour or just a bluesy Motown band bar tour.
