We purchase tickets for the night tour on a light rainy night. Poncho raincoats were provided and we sat top side with our awesome tour guide - Juan Ocasio. He made the experience entertaining and informative with a touch of his personal experiences living in NYC. We saw hidden gems around NYC and places that we missed during our stay. Another reason to come back to this beast of a city. If Juan ends up as your tour guide your in for fantastic night tour.

We did the big bus night tour as part of our explorer pass. Went over the Manhattan Bridge to Brooklyn with great views of the Brooklyn Bridge and our first glimpse or the Statue of Liberty. Saw the Empire State Building lit up. Saw various other parts of New York that we hadn’t seen. Our guide Bernie made our tour very enjoyable interacting with everyone on the bus, he had most of us laughing most of the way even breaking out in a song or two. He made it a fun night.

After a long day someone mentioned "I'd like to do to that" so we made a fast decision to do it. It was nearly 8:00 on a light rainy night but we still sat on the outside deck, making it even more entertaining, and learned the various landmarks and histories behind them. It was nice to sit back, relax and learn, not letting a little rain damper our experience. They hand-out plastic, disposable rain ponchos so we weren't soaked, as umbrellas wouldn't work due to how tall those buses are vs the traffic signals and some tree branches. Seeing the city lit-up was truly a treat.
