We purchased the 2 dayDeluxe tickets as we had just come from NY and we had a fantastic experience. Not so for Washington. The staff were rude and inexperienced. They did not keep passengers informed, the audio was broken and the routes did not keep with the app. Sat still for most of the route. Waste of my time and money.

Our group was 4 adults, we had a fantastic time. The guide Alisha was amazing. We saw so much we never would have seen just on foot with the time we had.

I purchased 3 x 2 day tickets ... and went to Arlington Cemetery to pick up the Blue BusTour, The bus was old and past its best and not suitable for disabled use ... it had a huge step up to gain entry. The rear doors got jammed half way round and stayed open for a number of stops despite me telling the driver they were open (meanwhile the audio commentary tells you that safety is our concern!) This bus was taken out of service at Washington Monument. We switched to a Red bus - did half the loop then we hopped off at the Natural History Museum. Around about 15:00 we went back to the drop off point to hop back on (3 buses past by without stopping) at this point we gave up and got an Uber back to our hotel. On day two we went to pick up the Red Tour outside Union Station ... we had a 20 minute wait for the 1300 bus (which 10 minutes later was announced as out of service - with the replacement coming along at 13:30) We were the first in the queue which descended into chaos when the bus turned up. I asked the Big Bus rep about a refund as I had no chance of getting on (on crutches) and with my 80 year old mother - he very kindly let us onto the bus via the middle doors . The bus then was packed to the rafters with people standing for a the next two stops meaning that any views were very restricted. All in all not worth the money ... the Old Town Trolley Tours although a little more expensive appeared less crowded and more regular !
