I have taken plenty of bus tours in my travels, but this one was one I wish we would have selected a different company. Just getting the tickets themselves once we purchased them on the internet was a pain. The metro brought us to Union Station where we were "greeted" by some grumpy employees. We finally got our tickets and got on the bus. Our first tour guide, George, was totally unimpressive. For starters, our headphones only buzzed, no matter where we sat on the top floor of the bus itself. There were only about 10 of us on the bus and he was no help whatsoever. We finally got off and did a quick tour of one of the monuments just so we could get on another bus. The other two portions of our tours were fine. Other than George, the other guides were informative as well as entertaining, which is why I gave it 3 stars vs. 1. $50 is too high of a price for this tour. I have paid far less for far better of a tour in other cities.

Family had a great time on the Big Bus. Great way to get around city and listen to insights on the sights. Lawrence at the Lafayette Park stop was a great help in explaining everything about the system and the app. Will definitely hop on again.

This was a fantastic tour that covers every important sight in DC with excellent audio guide. Even better are the busses that have a live tour guide on them which can give you local hints and tips about food, bars, and provide a lot of fun facts about the city! If you do the blue loop, the bus will even take you to the Arlington cemetery where you can visit the grave of the Kennedys and many more. I can also highly reccommend the round trip to Alexandria which is included in one of the ticket options! And on top of it all (for the environmental geeks among us), big bus runs some of its fleet with zero emission! Get on - hop off!
