Il n'y a que quelques endroits dans le monde où vous pouvez voir cet incroyable spectacle de la vie marine illuminer les eaux avec leur lueur de néon d'un autre monde. C'est une expérience en Floride à ne pas manquer ! Ce qui rend cela étonnant, c'est que les zones humides protégées autour de la zone où nous lançons nos kayaks n'ont presque aucune pollution lumineuse. Cela permet une visibilité incroyable de la bioluminescence.

Brea was an excellent tour guide giving our small group plenty of opportunities to see the bioluminescent comb jellyfish. She is very knowledgeable so you will learn a lot about the area. We also saw some dolphins in the moonlight and could hear the manatees come up for air. It is a great trip!

We did the Sunset Kayaking and Bioluminescence Kayaking tours. Sunset provided a fabulous view of the sunset while the dolphins jumped and played in the water nearby. 2nd time we did the Bioluminescence (first time 2019) and the Combs Jellies were abundant! We were also still able to see the dinoflagellates (glowing plankton). Jake was wealth of information abut the area and educated us on several historical things, including taking us to a section of the lagoon where people lived secluded and showed us parts of the dock from 100 years ago that are still sticking out of the water. We were also treated to seeing the Milky Way and Shooting Stars. Highly recommend these tours!!

So happy we finally were able to take this tour! The drive to Haulover Canal was beautiful, sunset before launch stunning, and the tour thrilling, a little terrifying (for my wife as we crossed the deep water at night) and an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide, Shelly, was quirky, knowledgeable and just alot of fun as she led us across the canal, through the mangrove maze, the dead end, beach area and back to the launch site. It's a little early for the full blown bioluminescence, but magical to see the sparkle in the water as we paddled, the occasional green glow of the comb jellies, and thrilling to scoop and see the combs up close. We crossed the canal with what Shelly believed o be several dolphins fishing, and could hear the water blowing and see/feel their rippling waves as they passed. We did see several osprey, small alligators camped out, and believe we smacked a black drum with one of our paddles and felt it's vibration as it passed under our kayak! The sky was crystal clear and filled with bright stars, which was an added bonus! A special thank you to Shelly for rigging her pack to my seat back so I could enjoy he last 1/2 of the tour sitting up instead of laying back and gazing up at the stars!
