This was such a cool experience!
We went in late November, it was choppy and cold but definitely worth it (I would go when it's warmer/more calm if you don't have a lot of kayaking experience)
We were trying to be realistic because what you see depends on conditions and time of year. Taking that into consideration we saw more than expected.
We saw bioluminescent dinoflagellates and comb jellies. We were also able to see many planets/stars and the Milky Way was visible.
Our guide, Jacob, was very knowledgeable and fun. He told silly jokes and shared lots of cool information about the stars, history of the area and about what we were seeing.
Note: We launched at the Beacon 42 boat ramp. It's somewhat remote so make sure you gas up and have everything you need before going out there. (My gas light came on as we got there so that was a little scary as it was 15 -18 minutes from a gas station)
10/10 would do it again!
