Our daytime historic tour is a story of Pirates and Puritans, Witchcraft and War. We travel around the city of Salem and share the tales of its amazing history. From its humble beginnings as a city founded on the idea of peace for all, to the site of the largest incident of witchcraft hysteria in the modern world, learn how it became one of the biggest shipping ports in America, played host to some of the most famous authors of all time, and learn some of the biggest secrets this city has to offer!

Our daytime walking tour lasts about an hour and forty five minutes, and covers a mile's worth of the downtown area. It is an easy walk, but we suggest comfortable shoes and clothing to match the season. Our tours are unscripted, and can be customized to every group's particular areas of interest!

This tour is a MUST for anyone visiting Salem. We took our 11 year old son on the historical daytime tour and it was perfect. Daniel was our tour guide, he is friendly, knowledgeable and fun. We learned many interesting things and had a very enjoyable walk around town. Thank you Black Cat Tours and Daniel, we had a great day.

We were visiting the Salem area to look at colleges for my daughter. We have been to Salem before but we wanted to do something completely different this go around. Our guide, Daniel was terrific! Super friendly and knowledgeable about the different areas we visited. We enjoyed the tour...even though it was a rainy and cold night. We will definately be signing up for another tour when we visit again in June!
