Pont Bronx-Whitestone

Le pont Bronx-Whitestone, connu sous le nom de Whitestone Bridge ou simplement Whitestone, est le célèbre pont suspendu de New York qui porte six voies de l'Interstate 678 juste au-dessus de l'East River, ouvert en 1939. Nous le traverserons, puis nous obtiendrons aux reines.

La visite se poursuit de l'autre côté de l'East River dans l'arrondissement de Queens, l'un des comtés les plus ethniquement diversifiés des États-Unis, dont les habitants parlent plus de 100 langues. Vous apprécierez le quartier de Malba et ferez une petite promenade dans Flushing Park.

Parc Corona de Flushing Meadows

Visitez Flushing Meadows Park, domicile de l'US Open (l'un des plus anciens championnats de tennis au monde), de l'équipe de baseball des Mets de New York et de l'Unisphere (reste de l'Exposition universelle de 1964).

L'Unisphere est une représentation sphérique en acier inoxydable de la Terre à Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Le globe a été conçu dans le cadre du plan de l'Exposition universelle de New York de 1964. Nous en profiterons lors de notre promenade dans le parc.

Plus tard, vous visiterez le borough de Brooklyn, comme le disent ses habitants, c'est : "la maison de tout le monde d'où", la diversité culturelle de ses quartiers est évidente. Nous visiterons le quartier de Dumbo et nous pourrons voir Williamsburg.

Voir les quartiers de Crown Heights, qui abrite l'une des plus grandes communautés juives hassidiques en dehors d'Israël, aux côtés d'une population non juive plus jeune et embourgeoisée

Williamsburg, concentre la vie de la communauté juive sur Lee Avenue, l'artère principale du quartier. C'est là que se trouvent la plupart de leurs temples et de leurs entreprises.
