Had Bob as our tour guide, and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, and eager to answer questions. He did a great job.
This tour involves a lot of walking, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Also be aware that there are many uneven surfaces. You will go to the top of Cobb's Hill and Beacon Hill after starting from the wharf. Not overly strenuous because the pace is relaxed, but understand this tour involves quite a bit of walking.
Bob's goal is to show you places that most tourists won't see, as well a provide a lot of historical facts to add interest. What makes this tour especially worthwhile is that it is limited to small groups. With larger group tours, it is often difficult to hear what is being said. Not a problem with this tour.
My only complaint is that instead of being titled as a "Food and History Tour", it would more accurately be called a "History Tour with Some Food". There are a few food samples along the way, but not enough in my option to qualify as a 'Food Tour'. Additionally, samples of food were not served with anything to drink. At the least, a small bottle of water would have helped along the way.
All in all, time well spent.

Hi Vance! Thanks for your awesome review of our Food to Freedom Tour. We totally agree - smaller tours just give everyone a more personal experience. Any Urban Adventures tour you take around the world will have a maximum size of 12, so you'll never get lost in the crowd. I love taking people off the beaten path and having them discover places that most tourists would never know about. And thank you for the other feedback - it is something that we will be discussing internally. We always want to provide an experience that goes way above your expectations so your comments are very helpful. Cheers!
