Went to visitors center on time only to be told tour was canceled. No refund issued. No exchange of tickets.

My mom and I went on the Freedom Trail Foundation Public Lantern Tour the weekend before Halloween. "Nathaniel Hutchins" aka Matthew was our tour guide. We didn't really know what to expect going in to the tour, but we had a BLAST. Matthew did a great job getting the crowd fired up about historical events and navigated the big city distractions very well. Plus, he was really funny. I learned way more than I thought I would and we left feeling excited to learn more about the city. I would recommend it to anyone. It's well worth it.

We really enjoyed our walking tour. It was a beautiful fall day so getting a guided tour to the historical landmarks was a pleasure. Our costumed guide was very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy telling the tales that made Boston history so significant. The cemetery was particularly interesting with stories that you never read about in our school books. This tour was way oversold though. There was probably twice as many people as there should have been. It was a very large group to maneuver around. Hearing the guide was difficult, if not impossible, at times. There was a lot of street noise and competing sounds from other tour groups that were close by. Still, we are glad we booked this and came away with enough to feel satisfied.
