Good way to familiarize yourself with Boston on first day. We were new to town, unsure where to start and using this local company, we found not only sites to visit but also local knowledge.

I took this “tour” with my elderly parents who were unable to walk the whole Freedom Trail. It was really just a bus ride. Some drivers gave some information while driving, others gave none. The map they provided to find the stops was not great (many streets were unlabeled) and it took a little hunting to find the trolley stops. Also, you can only get off the stops in order and only go around the circuit once, so if you miss a stop by walking past it, you can’t go back. It served its purpose by shortening walking distances, but if you don’t get off the trolley to see the sites yourself, it’s not worth it; you won’t learn or see much on the trolley.
