My friend and I were in town specifically to see a Broadway show, But, our favorite activity was the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO Food Tour. Erik was thoughtful, making sure no one in our small group had and food allergies before we started (exactly on time!). He provide interesting insights into the history of the area. He was very knowledgeable about the various building types and styles. The food was all delicious, I especially loved the empanadas, the pizza, not so much. Erik answered all kinds of questions from the group which add to the personal experience. it was a perfect pre-spring day, the other participants were fun to get to know. We would definitely do other tours like this the next time we are in town.
ps Erik, that tree with the mottled trunk I asked about is a London Plane tree. And the ones I told you I'd seen in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Central Park are pollarded, a style of pruning. Thanks for help aiming us to the subway for our trip back up town.!
