Verena was an excellent guide and the tour was very enjoyable and great value for money. Recommended.
Led by Joe Minchik, this walking tour is a great experience providing a good balance between history and food as you walk back through
time in an area that played a key role in the Revolutionary War and today is a showcase for neighborhood gentrification that is igniting a renewed interest and respect for home grown artisans. One sees first-hand how old is becoming new again! You soon learn that lessons experienced in Brooklyn are recycle and rehabilitate the buildings you have and attract locals that invest in apartments and businesses to make Brooklyn great again. Food samples provided at the nine establishments visited are ample and highlight best practices and premier ingredients in food preparation.
This was a great tour, we lucked out as there were only two of us on the tour, but having said that Josh our guide was as we say in English the bees knees. He's a great guide giving just enough info to not sound like a teacher and always talking at you, but any question you had he knew his stuff, on top of that he was just a great friendly guy, if you get Josh you are sure to have a great tour. The tour itself in mega interesting stopping at 9 interesting gourmet places in cool Brooklyn !!!
Highly recommend it as a great break from the hustle and bustle of Manhatten
