We went on the tour with a guide named Staff, who was giving his first tour. He was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgeable, while incorporating his own experiences as a graffiti artist! If this was his first tour, we can only imagine what a wonderful tour guide he will be in the future. He had help from Gabe, who brought more insight and thought-provoking discussion about each of the pieces. The art itself was breathtaking, and we look forward to going back to see the new installations. We unfortunately didn't dress warmly enough for the weather and had to leave before the end, but we would have loved to stay to hear more from Staff and Gabe. Highly recommend this as something unique to do when visiting Brooklyn!

This tour was great and certainly exceptionally well priced. The tour guide was super cool, really knowledgeable and gave us an insight into street art and the history of graffiti too. I think that we would have really missed out had we not have gone or just went to look around by ourselves. Top notch

I signed up for the Bushwhack tour because I had never been to Bushwick but really wanted to see and photograph the amazing murals I had seen on various Instagram accounts. I had no idea where to go/walk to see the artwork, and was nervous about wandering around by myself. I took the subway from the City and arrived week ahead of the meet time. As I exited the subway stop I immediately saw bright murals along Troutman street and elsewhere. I decided to walk around a bit and do some photography, but stopped before I went too far as the area was industrial and I felt a little vulnerable. I met up with the guide and other tour goers and we headed off in a completely different direction from where I had been - an area I may have missed completely! Our Guide, a street artist himself, spent a lot of time showing us the latest murals and some older ones still standing, talked about the artists, the Bushwhack Collective itself, what makes a mural more challenging to complete, how expensive they can be for the artist, the issue of other people tagging murals (something he and disagree on - I think it is disrespectful, he explained a code of conduct for the tagging issue) and more. While we did not see every piece, he did tell us where other works were nearby and urged us to visit in June when the majority of the new murals go up. Our guide was willing to answer all questions and seemed to know many of the artists personally so he had fun stuff to share. He also pointed out an artist painting as we returned to our starting point, and warned us she had headphones on and probably would not be willing to chat. All in all it was fun, interesting, well worth the $$ and time!
