What I expected was a tour around all of Brooklyn's prime graffiti art spots. What I got was actually a far more valuable experience. Out of all the graffiti tours ive done in my life (30+) no one educated me as much as Gabriel about the difference, history and importance between tags, throws, pieces and murals. Furthermore, he's instrumental in commisisoning and creating a multitude of the lovely murals and pieces in the area - supporting the local art scene with 20% of all profits going to support more local art projects.

This was a highlight of our 5 day trip to NYC. It was our first time there and our time in Brooklyn was our favourite. The tour was great. So much great art to see in different styles and a very informative tour guide. Lots to learn about the evolution of graffiti and how the artists work and interact.

I echo comments by previous reviewers - Audrey aka Bytegirl24 gave us a fabulous tour! Her intimate insider's perspective was fascinating. But equally impressive was her knowledge about the scene in many countries. She made great effort to personally engage each person on the tour, with an extra emphasis on making the history relevant to the younger crowd. The physical area covered might have been easy to view on our own, but instead of just looking at the beautiful art we learned about the culture and history of the art form, the artists, the techniques, the controversies, the business... Consistent with street art and graffiti, the work will change before long - I wouldn't hesitate to come again next time we are in NYC. A very affordable half day excursion and well worth the time!! Access by subway was easy.
