Browns Canyon on the Arkansas River is our most popular trip! The unique combination of lots of exciting whitewater, spectacular canyon scenery, great mountain views of some of Colorado’s highest mountains and opportunities to spot wildlife make this the ideal raft trip. Exciting enough for seasoned paddlers, but not too scary for first-timers. You will want to bring your friends and family for epic rapids such as Pinball, Zoom Flume, and Big Drop!

We had a group of 8 from age 65 down to 9 and all in between, with mostly first timers and various athletic abilities and we all had a great time! We took the morning trip and got the wetsuits because we didn’t want to be cold. You may not need them in the afternoon or on a really warm day or if you have the right quick dry clothes but we were glad we had them. Luke and Denison were great guides! Lots of historical and geological info about the area along with great instruction about getting down the river safely while still having fun. We would definitely recommend the Adventure Company for your rafting experience!

Where do I start? Our entire experience with The Adventure Company was great. We were there a week ago and I'm still thinking about it. When we first booked (through Breckenridge) I mentioned my 9-year-old daughter was a bit nervous to do the trip. Ten minutes after booking, someone from the Adventure Company called me to assure she'd be in good hands. And she was--we all were. We did the Browns Canyon intermediate trip. Beautiful scenery...fun, yet not-too-scary rapids...and Tim as our guide. (I'll give away the ending: Tim MADE the trip.) He's one of the senior guides, he's been doing it for 30+ years. As he explained to us, it's not a job, it's a career. He also told us that over the years he's been accused of taking it too seriously. Which he was proud of. And we were happy about. Take a trip with him and you'll see why. Don't get me wrong. His seriousness wasn't at the expense of us having fun. On the contrary, because of his knowledge, instruction and skill, it allowed us to have a great time. And he told great stories throughout the trip. So, to recap: it was a total blast. For all of us, including my daughter who wants to go back and do it again. Gonna see how quickly I can make that happen.

First of all, Zach was our guide and he was fantastic!!!!! He worked our butts off and we loved it! I'm sure when he saw he had two late 50's and two 60 year olds he was cringing, so we had to do our best to make sure he ALSO had fun. He was VERY professional, kept us safe and made sure we had FUN! Three cheers to Zach for a WONDERFUL experience!
