Coastal Calm Bay Fishing is the perfect experience for leisure fishing enthusiasts and families who want to capture the excitement of fishing with their young children! Land always remains in site, though weather permitting there is a chance to get adventurous and head 3 miles offshore. This 3.5-hour eco-fishing excursion targets redfish, snook, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, ladyfish, trout and pompano. Your Captains pride themselves on finding the best location to maximize your experience so you get “hooked” and come back year after year!

Highlights include: 3.5 hr close to shore fun fishing excursion, all equipment and bait provided, full-service fishing experience with expert, captain and crew who will help handle the fish and bait for you, and wildlife sightings including birds, dolphins and more!

Captain Sam took the 6 of us out for a beautiful half day fishing outing. We are 3 generations of a family with enthusiasm for great scenery, dolphins, and fishing made easy. Sam was wonderful, a naturalist, highly experienced boat captain, fun to be with, and gave us a terrific afternoon. He knows exactly where to go for the fish, had excellent fishing equipment, baited our lines, removed the fish, at the end of our outing, he cleaned the fish and sent us home with filets ready to cook.

We had the best day fishing the Calm Bay fishing tour with Pure Florida. The captains were so fun and helpful. We caught so many fish!!!

They don't use any type of fish finding equipment, you are not allowed to keep your fish because of size regulations and the bait is tiny shrimp, not enough for your time and money !

Dear Janson, We are so sorry that you did not have a great time onboard our Calm Bay and Coastal Fishing Excursion. We always strive to make sure our guests have the best time and we apologize we did not meet your standards. On the calm bay coastal fishing excursion, we do use shrimp as these are the best bait for the backwater trips. The size of the shrimp are perfect because that is the size of the fish in that type of ecosystem. We are constricted by the size due to state and federal regulations, and unfortunately there is nothing that we can do about that. It seems as if you are looking to catch larger fish while onboard with us. We would really recommend looking at our deep sea fishing excursion, mainly our 6 or 8 hour ones. Onboard this excursion, this is where we are targeting larger species such as red grouper, gag grouper, and a variety of snapper. We hope to see you back again with us in the future so that we can show you the best time possible.
