Taking a photography tour with Hunter Page and Capitol Reef Photography Tours is like spending the morning with a friend. But a friend who knows the best photography spots, and will give you advice on your settings and composition so that you are sure to leave with images you love. Would highly recommend for all levels of photographers. I took the Factory Butte Sunrise Tour, and it exceeded my expectations!

I did a sunrise & sunset tour with Hunter in Capitol Reef National Park. Hunter was great! He's great to be around and is very knowledgeable about the area & about photography. Prior to the tours, Hunter gave great lodging and restaurant recommendations. Once I arrived to the area, Hunter also gave recommendations for other activities in the area. If I return to the area, I'll definitely seek out Hunter again!

I did a fall photography workshop with Hunter in the Fish Lake area. I went out a few days early and was able to include a one-on-one photo workshop with Hunter. The one-day workshop was from sunrise to sunset and included a couple of slot canyons. Great experience. The Fish Lake workshop views are stunning. The remote locations allowed us to spend the time to compose and take the time to learn, discuss and try new techniques without feeling rushed by other people. I live in Northern New England and people from all over travel to see the fall colors in the northeast, the fall Aspen colors in Fish Lake Utah are just as spectacular. Hunter is very knowledgeable with all aspects of photography, Hunter spent time reviewing our composition, making suggestions to help improve the shot. Hunter had us look outside the “wide angle landscape box” and look for the “small scene” and how to separate woodland features to show depth and separation between woodland features. This got me to think outside the box and look at small landscape features, the leaf, the rock, the tree, the puddle – look for the small the scenes in front of you and at your feet. This workshop was all-inclusive. Having breakfast in the field after sunrise and supper in the field before sunset just added to the overall experience. Having meals in the field reduced travel time and increased the opportunities to take photos. With this workshop Hunter has raised the Bar that other workshops will need to follow!
