Jason created the perfect visit to Capitol Reef! He picked us up on time from our hotel and was very aware of the potential for rain and flash flooding. He discussed the itinerary and what we would do if it did start raining. He was concerned about our safety. We made our way to the Cathedral Valley and he was exceptionally knowledgeable about the geological formations along the way. He kept an eye on the weather and fortunately it missed us. We made several stops and never rushed through any. Plenty of time for great pictures. He was very engaging and we learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Jason!

Whenever we visit National Parks my wife and I seek out adventures beyond what the typical tourist experiences. This often involves off road back country 4x4 tours. On our visit to Capitol Reef National Park we chose the Water Pocket Adventure Company 4x4 Jeep Tours. For the next 7 hours our tour guide Sam took us on an amazing and unforgettable odyssey through the epic Cathedral Valley, Temples of the Sun and Moon, Factory Butte, the Mars Rover Practice Valley, Glass Mountain and many other surprising sights. Sam shared his deep well of knowledge about the area while driving some pretty treacherous dirt roads. We could have not planned a better experience. Fantastic experience with Sam!! Dinosaur bones and fossils, Temples of the Sun and Moon, wildflowers galore and a once in a lifetime chance to see a selenite mound. Sam is extremely knowledgeable about the whole area around Capital Reef. We had a great time exploring the back country which can only be seen using a 4WD vehicle. Loved having the private tour with just us instead of a mob. We will definitely go back and hire Sam again for several more tours. Great guy with a good sense of humor, great truck, great tour operator - Waterpocket Adventures - and Mother Nature at her finest. Top notch day!!!
