The entire experience was amazing. We purchased our tickets online. When we arrived, they scanned the barcode and immediately assigned bicycles to us and helmets. We rented a basket for $2 to hold our water bottles. Bikes are in good condition, tires are good. Service was fast. We were out with our bikes in 5 to 7 minutes. Make sure to ask for the Central Park map. The central park ride itself is great. Most of it is in the shade. Stay in the bike lane. Watch out for pedestrians. The road is one way so stay vigilant. If you are tired, get off the bike and go to the side. The whole ride is uphill and downhill. Uphill can be challenging. We saw a lot of families get off and walk the bike up. Two hours was enough for us with multiple stops and many many pictures. We were back 15 minutes later and they did not charge us for the additional time. If you can physically, this is a great activity for NYC

Close and convenient location to Central Park. Easy pickup and drop-off. Bikes are well used and not well maintained - may have some issues with shifting and braking but for a leisurely ride through Central Patk they work.
