This was an interesting walk, but repeated much of the history I’ve learned on other walking tours. I was expecting more information that was specific to the alleys and hidden passages. These alleys/passages were basically just used as a way to get from one attraction to another, like shortcuts with an occasional mention of duels.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are happy that you found the tour interesting but are disappointed to hear that you felt the information was repetitive. Charleston's alleyways are fortunately located within the popular historic district which allows us to include some well known points of interest and the general history of Charleston as well as go a little "off the beaten path”. In addition, the alleyways and passages are not all located right next to each other, so there will be lots to talk about in between each of the alleys. We have a strict policy of refunding our guests in full should they not be happy with their tour for any reason. Please contact us directly to process the refund. We do hope that you enjoyed the remainder of your stay in our beautiful city and that you will return soon!

Lawrence(?) was an excellent guide. He was very personable and, as a lifelong resident, very knowledgeable! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

5 out of 5 Captain Jim was a terrific guide, bringing to life all kinds of fascinating historical, architectural and amusing details about the hidden streets and alleys of Charleston. His easy-going and erudite manner along with his love of Charleston and history in general makes us eager to tour specifically with him again next time we’re in Charleston. Loved taking the tour on a sleepy Sunday morning when the rest of the city was in bed and Charleston felt like ours alone to savor.
