My husband and I, along with another couple, started this tour, but sadly, didn't finish it. We are all 40 and were excited for this tour, but it wasn't exactly what we anticipated it being about. Our guide, Jim, was very knowledgeable and clearly a local, however the first hour was a lot of discussion on the current state of the houses, how much they cost, and, which, while good information, it wasn't turning into anything about alleys and hidden passage ways. A lot of talking over cars/traffic. Maybe had we stayed longer it would have gone in that direction. but it just didn't quite go the way we thought it would given the title of the tour.

We take every review very seriously and are thankful for the opportunity to respond. We are disappointed to hear that the tour did not live up to your expectations. Your tour started at the Old Exchange, passed by Rainbow Row where the discussion about the prices of the homes was dictated by questions from other guests on the tour who were in the real estate business. He then went through Elliot St (formerly Elliot's Alley), Bedon's Alley and was about to head down Longitude Lane when you left the tour without saying anything. Had you stayed, you would have been introduced to three additional alleyways/passages as well as many more popular points of interest. Additionally, downtown Charleston is a living/working city and we will unfortunately run into areas where there is construction and traffic noise. We do our best to avoid or pass through these areas quickly and apologize if you felt this had a negative impact on the tour. We have a strict policy of refunding anyone who does not enjoy our tour for any reason and so we ask that you contact us directly to honor our policy. We hope you enjoy the remainder of your stay in our beautiful city!
