Éco-excursion en stand-up paddle à Charleston

Cette initiation à la pagaie de 2 heures sur le bord de l'Amérique vous fera découvrir les bases du SUP, le tout dans les eaux calmes de la rivière Folly. Tous les safaris commencent par des instructions "d'école au sol" ou de SUP avec vos instructeurs certifiés Lifeguard. Nous explorerons aux côtés de nombreux beaux oiseaux indigènes et grands dauphins. Nous suivrons le courant, en suivant les marées et la direction du vent pour un bon début de pagaie. A marée basse, nous visitons une plage privée et allons nous baigner !

Une photo de groupe est prise à la fin de la visite, qui sera publiée sur nos pages de médias sociaux.

John and SUP Safaris were amazing! We took the sunset tour as part of a bachelorette party. We had some first time and more experienced paddleboarders and he was able to make it fun for all of us! I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a unique experience in Charleston/Folly Beach!

I've been paddling with Charleston SUP Safaris twice, and both trips were fantastic. The first was an afternoon tour the year the company opened for business; it was just two of my girlfriends, Jon, and me, and we had a great time chatting about the aquatic ecosystem around us and life in general. I enjoyed it enough that, when my boyfriend and three other couples vacationed in Isle of Palms in May 2013, I insisted we incorporate a SUP trip into our plans. This time we did a sunset tour with a few other paddlers. The time of day was ideal for spotting dolphins! When one of our friends accidentally cut her foot on an oyster shell, Jon went into EMS mode, thoroughly cleaning and bandaging the wound to prevent infection. The whole Charleston SUP Safaris team is fun and very well trained. I also love that they take photos during the paddling trips and post them on Facebook shortly afterward... a nice touch. :)

Our family's annual beach vacation is spent on Folly Beach. We live very far apart (Scotland, Maryland, Florida, and Utah) so we make the most out of our time together. SUP Safaris is one of the most fun things we have ever done as a family! Jon took us on our first tour - we were all complete paddle boarding amateurs. His calm instruction and cheesy jokes made it easy to get the hang of the exercise. He then took us on an awesome tour of the river area near their shop, pointed out all kinds of wildlife, and even had a ton of historical knowledge of the area to share. We all fell in at least once, but Jon made it hilarious instead of awkward. We went back this past July and did a fitness class on paddle boards with Jon (super hard but super fun) and also rented boards for the whole family to enjoy for half a day. Great business, great customer service, great value! Definitely try it, especially if you have never tried the sport. A must do if you're in the Charleston area!
