Éco-excursion en stand-up paddle à Charleston

Aperçu
This 2-hour introductory paddle on the Edge of America will get you into the basics of SUP, all in the calm flatwater of the Folly River. All safaris begin with "ground school" or SUP instructions with your Lifeguard Certified Instructors. We'll explore alongside the numerous beautiful native birds and bottlenose dolphins. We'll go with the flow, following the tides and wind direction for a great beginning paddle. At low tide we visit a private beach and go for a swim!

Group photo is taken at the end of the tour, which will be posted on our social media pages.

My granddaughters and i paddle boarded for the 1st time. I was petrified being on the water, but our guide Sarah was great at getting me to relax. She stayed close! This was the funnest thing we did on this years trip to Folly. We will definitely do this again next year.. Maybe next year i won't have to pull my granddaughter up river...Make sure to take water, we did the 9 am tour. Charleston SUP Safaris well worth the money..

I was visiting Charleston for the first time and wanted to try Stand Up Paddle Boarding (never have gone before). I called SUP Safaris and even though it was off-season, they were offering 3 tours for that Friday. I signed up for the morning class. Even though I was going to be the only one on the tour, they were more than happy to take me out. Both the owner and my instructor were extremely friendly when I showed up in the morning. Seeing as it was my first time, the instructor was great. She really worked w/me and gave me amazing tips. The route was very pretty and she was knowledgeable about the area and waterways as well. We finished up a little early and instead of going in, played out on the boards learning some more advanced techniques. Can't explain just how friendly and fun both my instructor and the owner were. Highly recommend both trying SUP and definitely using Charleston SUP Safaris. It's a blast.

6 ladies did a SUP adventure as part of my sister's bachelorette party over the weekend. Jon was great with land instructions so we felt ready and confident out on the water. The tour was a lot of fun, we even saw a dolphin! Our tour got pushed back an hour to due to some bad weather but the Charleston SUP staff was quick and ready when the stormed passed and we were ready to go. Be sure to NOT bring a cell phone or nice shoes with you...our group had 2 causalities. Definitely recommend this company and tour!
