Joe was an amazing tour guide. The tour was small, personalized, and worth every penny and more. We were fortunate enough to see a mama bear and her cubs (my personal bucket list item), but even if we hadn't seen them, the experience itself was incredible. Haines is breathtaking, and the wildlife just makes this little town an oasis for nature. Joe was incredibly passionate about his job and very knowledgeable. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful tour, and I'm glad that we bought your book to remember this trip by! A true highlight of our Alaskan trip.

Thanks so much and I am humbled by this great review. It truly was a great trip and I clearly remember you and your family. I am so glad that you picked up a copy of my book, Where Eagles Gather, as a memento. I spent decades collecting the images for the book and I enjoyed writing it, too. The book has a message that the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve is worth protecting as it is currently under threat from a potentially toxic copper mine just upstream of the Preserve. I hope to see you and your family again!

Chad was one of the most knowledgeable guides I have had on this Alaska adventure. He brought us to the most beautiful spots for photography and gave us a wealth of information about wildlife and fauna as well as history about the area. Highly recommend!
